TravelDoctores Expands to Italy and Brazil and Partners with Nomad Club

TravelDoctores has expanded to Italy and Brazil, and members of the Nomad Club app now get a preferential rate on their consultations. The two new markets bring our network to 13 countries where patients can talk to a licensed doctor by video, in a language they understand, without having to learn how a foreign health system works. This post explains where we operate today, what is changing, how fast we have been growing and what we are aiming for next.
The short version: we now operate in 13 countries (Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil), and Nomad Club members get 10% off their consultations. Our monthly consultations grew by more than 470% between January and August 2026, mostly through organic search.
Is TravelDoctores available in Italy and Brazil?
Yes. We now have licensed doctors in both countries, so you can request a video consultation in Italy and in Brazil in the same way as anywhere else in our network. Every country needs doctors registered with its own medical authority in order to see patients and issue valid prescriptions and certificates, and that is exactly how we have set up both markets. If you are travelling to either country, you only need to fill in the form on our website, and if you have any question you can write to us on WhatsApp.
Which countries does TravelDoctores operate in today?
Today TravelDoctores operates in 13 countries, five in Europe and eight in Latin America and the Caribbean. Italy and Brazil, highlighted below, are our most recent additions.
The experience is the same in every country. You fill in a short form on our website with your symptoms, the doctors available in that country are notified, the first one to accept takes your case, you complete the payment and then connect by video call. When it is clinically appropriate, the doctor issues a prescription or a medical certificate under the rules of the country where you are. In France and Germany, consultations are carried out by doctors licensed in Spain, who can issue prescriptions in the EU cross-border format.
Why did we open Italy and Brazil?
Because they are exactly the places where the people we built TravelDoctores for tend to end up. Italy is one of the most visited countries in the world and completes our footprint in Southern and Western Europe alongside Spain, Portugal and France. Brazil is the largest country in South America and shares borders with three countries where we already work: Argentina, Colombia and Peru. Both countries have also introduced visas aimed at remote workers, which means more people spending weeks or months there instead of a few days, and people who stay longer are the ones who end up needing a doctor.
There is a practical reason as well. Travel peaks in Europe in July and in Latin America in December, so having doctors in both regions means there is always a busy season somewhere, and a more stable service all year round for our patients and for the doctors in our network.
How do we choose doctors in a new country?
Every doctor who joins the network is interviewed in English to assess both their language level and their clinical knowledge, and before they see a single patient we check that their medical licence is active in the official register of their country. Doctors in the network are independent professionals who attend patients under their own licence, and all of them accept our physician agreement when they join. We followed the same process in Italy and Brazil, which is why opening a country takes time: the doctors have to be the right ones before the service is the right one.
What is the Nomad Club partnership and what does it mean for members?
We have partnered with Nomad Club, a global community for digital nomads. Nomad Club is an app and global community for digital nomads, remote workers and professionals who work from anywhere, with online and in-person events and an identity verification system during sign-up.
The Nomad Club app is available for both iOS and Android.
Nomad Club currently has more than 24,000 users from more than 100 countries, making it a truly global community for digital nomads and professionals who work remotely. The community connects digital nomads and remote workers from different countries, making it easy for members to discover new people, events and professional connections wherever they are.
Under our agreement, Nomad Club members get a preferential rate on TravelDoctores: 10% off the standard consultation price. Members can find the details on how to apply the rate through Nomad Club, and our team will gladly help on WhatsApp or at info@traveldoctores.com if anything is unclear.
Anyone who changes country every few weeks knows the problem. Your insurance may not work in the next place, you do not know the local system and you may not speak the language. A doctor who is reachable by video wherever you land, in 13 countries, fits that way of living, and a preferential rate makes it a little easier to ask for help early instead of waiting for a small problem to become a bigger one.
We are open to similar agreements with communities, coworkings, colivings, language schools and other organisations that work with travellers and expats. You can read how our partner programme works on our affiliate programme page, or write to us directly.

How fast has TravelDoctores grown in 2026?
Monthly consultations grew by more than 470% between January and August 2026, with month-over-month growth above 70% in both June and July. Over the past 12 months we have completed around 2,400 consultations, and patients rate us 4.9 out of 5 on Trustpilot across more than 235 reviews.
This growth has come mainly from organic search. People find us when they look for a doctor on Google or ask an AI assistant where to get medical help abroad, which is why we put so much care into answering those questions clearly on this website. It also means every new country we open starts with the same advantage: the patient who needs a doctor is already searching for one.
What is TravelDoctores aiming for next?
When I started TravelDoctores, the goal was simple to say and hard to do: that anyone who needs a doctor away from home can reach a licensed one quickly, in a language they understand, without getting lost in an unfamiliar health system. Everything we are doing now is meant to bring that closer, and I see it on three fronts.
The first is more countries, with more doctors in each of them, so that a request for a doctor is answered quickly wherever you are. The second is wider coverage across time zones and hours of the day, because health problems do not wait for office hours. The third is everything around the consultation: partnerships with clinical laboratories so that tests requested during a video call can be done close to where you are staying, and relationships with clinics and hospitals so that, when a video consultation is not enough, we can point you to in-person care without delay.
If there is a destination where you would like to see TravelDoctores next, tell us. Our expansion follows where travellers, expats and digital nomads actually need us.
